Doctor Says Kate Middleton May Not Be Able To “Move Around Normally” For Months After Surgery

Kensington Palace said on Wednesday that Kate Middleton had planned surgery on her abdomen at a private hospital in London.

The surgery went well, but the Princess of Wales will have to stay in the hospital for 10 to 14 days. She probably won’t be able to go back to her royal tasks until after Easter.

Fans of the royal family are scared about the Princess of Wales’ health after hearing the shocking news. The surgery on the princess’s abdomen went well, and several news sites wrote about how she is said to be doing hours after Kensington Palace made the announcement.

Kate will now need to rest and heal for a long time. A doctor says that the fact that she is staying in the hospital for so long could be a sad sign that the next few months will be very hard.

The statement from Kensington Palace on Wednesday was a huge surprise for people all over the world, including those who follow the royal family. Princess of Wales is going to have surgery on her abdomen and will stay at the private London Clinic for ten to fourteen days. She also says she “unlikely” will go back to work until after Easter.

After surgery on her stomach, Princess Kate is in the hospital.

While this was going on, Kate said she was sorry for delaying planned events.

“Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales was admitted to The London Clinic yesterday for planned abdominal surgery. The surgery was successful and it is expected she will remain in hospital for ten to fourteen days, before returning home to continue her recovery. Based on the current medical advice, she is unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter,” the statement from Kensington Palace read on its social media pages.

“The Princess of Wales appreciates the interest this statement will generate. She hopes that the public will understand her desire to maintain as much normality for her children as possible; and her wish that her personal medical information remains private.”

The statement continued: “Kensington Palace will, therefore, only provide updates on Her Royal Highness’ progress when there is significant new information to share. The Princess of Wales wishes to apologise to all those concerned for the fact she has to postpone her upcoming engagements. She looks forward to reinstating as many as possible, as soon as possible.”

A lot of royal fans were worried about Kate and wished her a speedy recovery on social media.

Kate to stay at the hospital

“Feel better soon, Catherine. Even while she’s not well, she’s worried about everything going on around her. You take care of you and I’m sure people understand the need to respect your privacy for your children. They would want the same for their own,” one wrote.

Another added: “Prayers for a successful recovery for the Princess of Wales and for her lovely family as they navigate this difficult time.”

A third said: “My thoughts and prayers are with her and her whole family.”

“14 days is a long stay, hope she’s ok,” another stated.

The reason Kate is going to have surgery on her abdomen is said to be “non-cancerous.” Reports from Thursday say that the princess is also “doing well.”

Kate Middleton is likely to get better at her family home in Windsor, where she and Prince William moved from London in 2022, after she gets out of the hospital.

While Kate is getting better, Prince William is also likely to do fewer public appearances. This will help them take better care of their three kids, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

William will not be on duty while Kate is at the hospital. The Sun says the Prince of Wales was meant to visit British troops in another country, but the “top-secret” plan has been pushed back. They were also meant to go to Italy and its capital, Rome, where they might have met the Pope, but that trip has also been canceled.

“She doesn’t want us to know…”

While she heals, Princess Kate has to take a break from her big projects, like the Shaping Us effort. Also, they won’t have as many responsibilities next month during Mental Health Awareness Week, when they will be featured in a lot of marketing materials.

GB News talked to royal expert Jennie Bond, who said that when she read the statement, her “jaw dropped” and it was a “shock.”

“We’re told it was a planned procedure, that it was an abdominal problem, that it is not cancer,” Bond said. “But to be in hospital for two weeks and then to go recover for up to two or three months and have a full diary canceled means it may have been planned, but not for a very long time.”

The royal expert also says Kate Middleton is doing the right thing by not giving out information about her health.

“I have no idea what it is she doesn’t want us to know at this stage, but I do know that she will want to be back home with her family and her children as soon as possible. And so that makes it all more surprising that she may not be back home for a fortnight,” she continued.

“Prince William is going to divide his time between looking after the children and being at his wife’s bedside, and therefore he won’t be carrying out public engagements either.”

William had a nanny help him take care of the kids.

William will be more responsible for taking care of George, Charlotte, and Louis, but he won’t do it all by himself.

The prince and princess will get help from Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, who has been their babysitter for many years.

Since 2014, Borrallo has been with William and Kate. The babysitter took care of George when he was only eight months old.

“She is not married and doesn’t have a boyfriend, as her life is totally dedicated to the family she is working with. She is known for being totally professional – married to the job,” an insider told Hello Magazine.

Borrallo went to the well-known Norland College in Bath to learn his craft. She makes all the decisions about the kids at home, following what William and Kate have said they want.

A royal insider previously said, “Maria is firm, but she never acts unilaterally with the children on discipline. Kate and William, along with Maria, are strict with the children but have this magic ability to appear not to be.”

When asked what she thought about living in hospitals, the Princess of Wales said they were not “places she wanted to hang around in.”

Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis to visit Kate

Kate Middleton talked about the bad morning sickness she had after giving birth to George.

“I think, yeah, I did stay in hospital overnight. I remember it was one of the hottest days and night with huge thunderstorms, so I didn’t get a huge amount of sleep, but George did, which was really great,” the princess said.

She added, “I was keen to get home because, for me, being in hospital, I had all the memories of being in hospital because of being sick so it wasn’t a place I wanted to hang around in. So, I was really desperate to get home and get back to normality.”

It must be scary to have a parent in the hospital. It’s possible that Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis feel the same way.

Expert on the royal family Cameron Walker gave a report on William and Kate and their kids on X, which used to be called Twitter.

“Good morning from a (very cold) Kensington Palace. I understand The Princess if “doing well” having spent her second night in hospital, following abdominal surgery,” he wrote.

“Prince William was looking after their children at home last night. Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis were at school all day yesterday and are yet to visit their mother in hospital.”

Kate may not be able to “move around normally” for months, according to her doctor.

Kate Middleton is going to stay at the private London Clinic for ten to fourteen days, as was already said. Why can’t she leave earlier? A professional says that the princess needs to stay for many reasons.

Express talked to Dr. Deborah Lee from Dr. Fox Online Pharmacy who said it depends on the type of surgery Kate had. In other news, it’s scary to think that the Princess of Wales might have trouble with simple jobs in the next few months.

“For abdominal surgery, most people stay in the hospital for four to seven days. After laparoscopic surgery [a type of keyhole surgery], this is reduced to two to four days,” she said.

“It very much depends on what exactly has been done. If a patient needs to go to ITU, it’s likely their hospital stay would be considerably longer. It can take two months or more for the patient to feel comfortable and be able to move around normally afterward.”

Kate Middleton has had surgery before. She had a three-inch scar on the left side of her head when she was a child. The scar was first seen at a secret dinner at Clarence House in 2011, which was Kate’s first royal event by herself.

Later, an official statement explained that “the scar related to a childhood operation,” however details remained private.

Kate had a “serious operation” in the past for a birthmark

Multiple sources told the Daily Mail that it was “a very serious operation.” Surgeons, on the other hand, said that the scar was most likely caused by the removal of a birthmark, not a tumor.

As was already said, Kate doesn’t really like hospitals. She had terrible morning sickness when she gave birth to George, but she made it through.

On the Happy Mum Happy Baby show with Giovanna Fletcher, the Princess of Wales said that she started to meditate and take deep breaths, which helped.

“I saw the power of it really, the meditation and the deep breathing and things like that, that they teach you in hypnobirthing, when I was really sick,” she said. “I got very bad morning sickness, so I’m not the happiest of pregnant people.”

After that, Giovanna Fletcher, the host of the show, asked, “Have you had it every time or just the first time?”

“Yes, unfortunately,” Kate responded. “Lots of people have it far, far worse, but it was definitely a challenge. Not just for me but also for your loved ones around you – and I think that’s the thing – being pregnant and having a newborn baby and things like that, impacts everybody in the family.”
