In addition to his grandfather and several other members of his family, his father, Robert, lost his fight with the illness in December 2015. He was powerless to cure his father of the illness.
The country megastar, who is currently touring the United States as part of his Graffiti-U World Tour, found time to return to Australia and participate in a fundraiser that has raised millions of dollars for prostate cancer research and awareness in just seven short years.
