Bring It North’s harmonies are so captivating that even seasoned listeners are enthralled with them again and again. They are hardly the first male band to inspire repeated listens. Their age—a group of boys barely ten to twelve years old—is what makes them so amazing; they have a level of vocal expertise that many adult groups aim to achieve. Their remarkable musicality and young innocence combine to produce an enthralling experience.
This quintet—Max Ferguson (10), Toby McTurk (11), Harry Steel (11), Felix Yates (11), and Oscar Williams (12)—came from northern England and were put together by a creative music teacher with the goal of creating something genuinely unique. A magnificent, unreleased four-minute arrangement of “A Million Dreams” from The Greatest Showman served as their pivotal moment. The video on their own YouTube channel, which was never included on Britain’s Got Talent, shows their strengths coming together to create a touching and moving five-part harmony.
They received unanimous acclaim for their stellar audition, which included Elton John’s “Electricity,” but the judges gave them a quick pass. Their “A Million Dreams” performance in the semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent 2018 impressed both judges and viewers, eliciting remarks like “angelic voices” and inspiring Alesha Dixon to encourage young guys to follow their dreams.
