The video of 12-year-old kid went viral, and even musician Calum Scott commented, ‘Where is this boy so I can hug him right now?!’

It’s typically an emotional occasion to renew wedding vows, but when loved ones are actively involved, it becomes even more so.

A TikTok video of 12-year-old Aiden singing during his parents’ vow renewal ceremony recently went viral, winning over viewers’ hearts and attention.

Since filmmaker Danielle Tufano shared the three-minute movie clip on April 12, it has received over 871,000 likes and around 4.6 million views.

Aiden clarified that in order to reinforce his parents’ marriage vows, his mother recommended that he sing during the ceremony. Without hesitation, he agreed and knew exactly what song he wanted to sing: “You Are the Reason” by Calum Scott.

According to Aiden, he chose the song because it felt pleasant and nostalgic. I picked the song to sing during the wedding because I love my parents.

During the ceremony to reaffirm his parents’ wedding vows, Aiden was terrified in front of a large crowd. “But I was excited to be at the wedding and sing for my parents,” he recounted.

When Aiden started singing, his trepidation gave way to emotion. Abruptly agitated, he wiped away his tears before gathering himself and completing his moving solo.

Even though he stumbled a little at the start of the song, Aiden managed to concentrate on the song and his parents, which led to a truly remarkable performance.

“At first, I was really emotional, but then I forgot about it and let it out,” he added.

The crowd was equally moved. While Aiden performed and his parents reaffirmed their vows, it also brought tears to the eyes of others, according to Aiden’s mother, Kemorene Mills-Armstrong.

“I was really emotional when he started,” said Kemorene. The atmosphere of the occasion was intensely emotional at first, and then one could hear guests crying in the background. I got even more teary-eyed because they were crying, and I had to keep looking up because the tears would keep falling. All in all, it was an absolutely amazing event.

In front of their three boys, relatives, and friends, Kemorene and her husband, Kirkland Armstrong, renewed their vows on March 23 in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

When Aiden sang while his parents spoke their wedding vows, it was clear that he had always loved to sing. At first, Aiden had to wipe away tears and his voice trembled a little, but as the song went on, he became more composed and assured.

He gave a great, impassioned performance, and he gave the song honor. Aiden wishes to meet his favorite performers eventually and plans to continue his love in singing through classes. He likes Bruno Mars and Charlie Puth, and Calum Scott.

After posting a video of Aiden singing on her TikTok profile, Kemorene was shocked to discover that her videographer’s work had gone viral.

“I had no idea that would happen at all,” she stated. However, I’ve been reading the comments online, and I’m amazed at how encouraging they are. Because I couldn’t believe how much people adored him, I’ve been crying most of the time.

Calum Scott made a comment since the performance was so poignant.

It’s usually a great time to renew wedding vows, but Aiden’s singing received such positive feedback that it made this moment even more memorable.

For all of us, it’s a very unique time,” Kemorene added. Even at school, the principal and all of Aiden’s pals are aware of his singing. Thus, this is a very special moment.
