Nothing would stop the seven-year-old youngster from banging my seat during my most recent travel, so I did this.
This occurred during my most recent journey. I was worn out from a lengthy work trip, and all I wanted was to go home and relax. I was hoping to sleep on the plane because it was a lengthy ride.
I was about to fall asleep after settling into my seat when I heard a young boy begin to speak. He started asking his mother questions when he was around seven years old. You’ve probably experienced the times when children need to chat about anything, even if their inquiries don’t make sense.
I wouldn’t mind this normally, but that day I was so exhausted that I couldn’t take the noise. Not only that, but he was occasionally striking my seat. It started out as a small tap before becoming louder and louder.
I really didn’t want to put up with this. He refused to settle down even after the flight attendant intervened and I made courteous appeals to his mother. I therefore made the decision to act independently. This is what I did.

I came up with a subtle answer when I was at my wits’ end.
I tried to indirectly affect the situation by observing it.
I leaned back abruptly and poured liquid into the mother’s lap.
There was instant excitement at the scene.
When the youngster eventually stopped hitting, he found himself under his mother’s severe glare as the soaking mother rose up and yelled.
He suddenly relaxed.
It was nearly silent for the remainder of the flight.
I was no longer bothered by the boy.
