The ICE agent who shot Renee Nicole Good three times at close range in Minneapolis last week had previously been dragged over 100 yards by a suspected undocumented immigrant in a harrowing confrontation.
This is in line with recent stories that center on the background of Jonathan Ross, the ICE agent who was captured on camera shooting Renee Good to death on the morning of January 7 as she attempted to elude officers.
Following a great deal of pressure following the aforementioned shooting, Ross’ identify was made public online. He was the cop who shot Good, according to court filings, which also described how he was gravely hurt in an incident that occurred in Bloomington, Minnesota, on June 17, 2025.
An ICE crew subsequently apprehended Roberto Carlos Munoz, a suspect with numerous counts against him, according to the New York Post. However, when Munoz refused to get out of his car, the situation took a sharp turn.
Ross reportedly tried to unlock the door from inside by smashing the rear driver’s side window. With Ross’s arm wedged between the seat and the automobile frame, Munoz reacted by stepping on the gas to get away.
According to the Justice Department, Munoz sped off, swerving from left to right in an attempt to shake the ICE officer free, dragging Ross for more than 100 yards.

DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin claimed that Ross needed 33 stitches after suffering “significant injuries to his arm and hand.”
Munoz was then taken into custody and accused of assaulting a federal officer. In December 2024, a federal jury found him guilty.
Last week, Ross, a full-time member of ICE’s ERO Special Response Team in Minneapolis, was involved in another incident that resulted in the shooting death of Renee Good, a 37-year-old mother.
In the immediate aftermath of the shooting, DHS Secretary Kristi Noem justified the incident, saying Ross had acted appropriately. Additionally, President Donald Trump expressed his views clearly, criticizing Good and saying that Ross was fortunate to be alive.
Meanwhile, ICE received a stern warning from Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, who said, “Get the f*** out of Minneapolis, ICE.” They are not here to make this city unsafe. They are not contributing to American safety. They are sowing disarray and mistrust with their actions.
“They are already attempting to spin this as an action of self defense,” Frey continued in reference to Good’s shooting. I want to tell everyone straight out that the video is bulls**t after seeing it myself.
