One pregnancy after another started to happen. The first patient, followed by the second and third, all had diagnoses that were incompatible with being a good mother. They refused to discuss how it occurred and were withdrawn and skeptical. In the meantime, no infractions were detected by staff records, visitor logs, or surveillance cameras.
More rumors and unsettling concerns were raised with every new pregnancy. The employees were subjected to psychological testing, internal investigations, and interrogation. Because he was on leave during the pertinent period and all of his activities were recorded, one employee was even briefly accused but later cleared.
In the meantime, more patients started to give concerning clues. More and more conversations referred to “meetings like before,” “a garden where no one watches,” and “secret nighttime walks.” This was initially written off as the patients’ dreams, but the physicians became suspicious after seeing the same elements repeated.
In order to comprehend what was happening, the physicians then placed a camera, and they were appalled by what they witnessed 
The clinic’s grounds, including portions that are rarely used, were inspected. Then came the revelation: a metal hatch was discovered hidden beneath a covering of leaves in a far-off section of the garden.
Following this finding, a concealed camera was placed, and what it revealed startled everyone: patients from both wards met in private without the staff’s awareness. without authority, without consideration for medical diagnoses, and without knowledge of the repercussions.
These were times of warmth and intimacy for some. Others experienced more trauma and became pregnant as a result.
The clinic modified its procedures after this truth was discovered.
Rare, tightly regulated encounters between the male and female wards started once the tunnel was sealed, access to the garden was limited, and staff members had to accompany the doctor.
Social services or family members were tasked with caring for pregnant women. For the other patients, new regulations were developed to guarantee their entitlement to compassionate care under safe, regulated circumstances.
The story received widespread media attention. Two factions emerged in society: some accused the clinic of carelessness, while others accused it of cruelty and an effort to “sterilize” feelings.
The story’s primary message, however, was that genuine, complicated, alive human life persists even within the confines of mental hospitals.
