Her own children tossed their crippled mother over the tracks of an approaching train out of greed for their inheritance, but at the last second, something unexpected happened 
The sons froze when their father’s will was read after his death because their mother’s name was listed on all of the family’s assets, including the business and the house.
Without exchanging words, they were able to understand one another through eye contact.
The oldest murmured, “Let her live with her money underground if she can’t live without it.”
They told their mother they were taking her for a drive when they got her in the car the following day. The gentle, trustworthy woman was unaware that this would be her final journey.
They took her to the railroad tracks, where trains consistently arrived on time.
The sons were well aware that the train driver wouldn’t have time to brake and that their wheelchair-bound mother wouldn’t be able to get away. And it would appear to be a tragic accident if the police looked into it.
They stopped and, without a word, left her there on the tracks when the train was just a few minutes away.
The woman could feel the earth beneath her quivering. Softly at first, then increasingly brutally. The train was getting close. The roar got louder.
The wheels were trapped between the sleepers, so she prayed and tried to move.
— If You are real, Lord, please spare me from this kind of death.
However, something unexpected occurred at the last second, just a few steps from the train 
The brakes screeched all of a sudden! A tractor appeared from around the corner. A farmer was involved. He hurried to the tracks after hearing odd shouts. He sped to the woman and halted the tractor on the crossing without thinking.
He grabbed her wheelchair just before collision and used all of his effort to shove it aside. They were inches away when the train roared by.
The woman was shivering all over, the farmer was breathing heavily, and dust was whirling about them.
— You are still alive. That’s important, he added, panting.
With tears in her eyes, she said to him:
I’m grateful. You were sent by God.
When the cops showed up at the hospital later, the woman told them everything. A adjacent security camera, which had recorded the exact moment the lads left their mother on the rails, was indicated by the farmer.
The brothers were taken into custody a few days later. They were convicted of attempted murder by the court. By court order, their mother received all of the property they had so avariciously sought.
