When a seven-year-old girl noticed that a strange man dressed in black was following her, she chose to do something totally different than go home 
After school, the seven-year-old girl was making her way home on foot. She clutched her school bag in her hands, notebooks protruding irregularly, and a scarf that kept falling down dangled from her shoulder. The yard was deserted and silent. Someone was standing only close to the entryway.
The man had a long black coat and was tall. The high collar and scarf partially concealed his face, but it was still enough to give him a menacing appearance. He appeared to be anticipating someone. He occasionally looked around before returning his attention to the house.
The girl started to feel uncomfortable. She remembered what her father had said.
She caught the man’s attention. His eyes became thick and suspicious. He stepped forward a couple of paces, as if to see if anyone was watching. There were no cars or onlookers on the street. The girl’s fingers were sweating and her heart was thumping in her chest. The man picked up his speed.
He was already fairly near when she turned around. She glanced uneasily up and down the stairs. Abruptly, she did something that even startled the black man. That’s why the girl was still alive and unhurt.
She had the following thought: “Light! Make a sound!
Abruptly, she turned on every light on the landing, lighting up the dim stairs, and pounded the closest door with all her might.
— Help! Help! — She sounded terrified.
The building was filled with the echo. The man in black froze for a second, as though he hadn’t anticipated the child’s resolute action.
The door suddenly swung open, revealing a powerful man dressed in household attire standing in the entryway. A woman’s figure emerged behind him.
He looked at the girl and then at the odd man, asking sharply, “What’s going on here?”
The black-clad man winced, his eyes wide with shock. He turned and nearly dashed out of the doorway, vanishing into the yard’s shadows.
A spark of pride ignited inside the girl, who was still shaking and gripping her school bag tightly. Recalling her father’s advice, she took the necessary action. She was spared death as a result
