Bjarne, 10, sang “Someone You Loved” by Lewis Capaldi during one of the most memorable auditions on The Voice. The young youngster onstage, who had a blind audition on The Voice Kids Germany last month, has a voice so amazing that’s hard to believe it. The adorable child came onstage with a toy rabbit, but his voice seemed much older than his years.
Before switching to a clear and beautiful high range, Bjarne began the song with a booming deep register. The singer’s family was ecstatic on the side of the stage when the first judge pressed the buzzer before Bjarne had even reached the chorus. All four judges turned their chairs for the youngster before he finished the chorus, demonstrating that the other judges were not going to pass up this ability.
Bjarne, however, had much more planned. With such passion and force, he struck the enormous note that was entering the bridge, leaving Judge Lena Meyer-Landrut speechless and unable to raise her mouth for a few minutes. His voice, she later said, was made of “sounds that are like from heaven.”
Everyone knew the child had just aced his audition. Following the performance, Meyer-Landrut embraced Bjarne and shouted with joy as the judges hurried onstage to give him high fives. For the young singer, it was a momentous occasion, and both he and his ecstatic mother cried. Later, the judge played the piano while Bjarne and Álvaro Soler sang a duet of “Another Love Song” by Tom Odell.
Bjarne’s audition video was met with comments like “Man, that brought a tear to my eye” from fans who couldn’t get enough of him. Your future is bright, Bjarne. I’m eager to hear more from you,” and “This child is just remarkable! What a voice! Sweet, naive, and unadulterated!
Bjarne’s first attempt at the music business was the blind audition for “Someone You Loved,” and he now has a promising career. The young star hasn’t released any more performance videos as of yet, but we can anticipate hearing amazing things about him as the season goes on.
